Few weeks ago I had the chance to photograph a winter wedding photo session. Even though I am mainly a food photographer, it is always refreshing to take pictures of “living things”. The day couldn’t have been more beautiful. The air was crisp and clear, the sky was blue and sun was shining. It was the kind of day you hope for, but never would expect. Till the day before forecast gave cloudy, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw what a bright day it was instead! In part of the shoot we are standing on the frozen sea, which is something quite unique and that cannot be achieved in many places in the world.
The pictures with back-light in the forest were improvised and, as for many fortuitous things, are probably the best and most magical of this all photo session. We were just walking back to the car, when I realized that on our right there was this little forest that really could have come out straight from a winter wonderland fairy tale. There was an almost imperceptible wind, enough to make some flakes of fresh snow fall down from the trees. It was so achingly beautiful moment, I almost didn’t want to take pictures and just admire the scene myself, but I guess the bride&groom are happy I didn’t 😀
So here are the pictures, hope you like them!
