Everytime we stop and think about all the goods that can be foraged from a Nordic forest we are amazed. If you think about it, these forests are frozen for most part of the year. The weather is really hard and merciless. Still, every spring, as soon as the snow starts to melt, the forest is reborn and the vegetation comes to life once again.

Maybe because of this reason the flavors connected with a Nordic forest are so pure, pristine and intense. As you know, we have a real passion when it comes to preparing delicacies with wild food and trying to bottle up all the amazing smells and flavors of the forest (like with our Spruce Tip Herbal Liqueur or The Lingonberry Forest Liqueur). That is why when we discovered VilliVesi we were so glad to collaborate with them.

Despite being so good on their own, we still developed some great cocktails and mocktails using their Blueberry & Spruce Tip, Juniper & Lemon and Apple & Ginger flavored carbonated waters. Blueberry Forest

Blueberry Forest | Cocktails Adagio X VilliVesi | The Adagio Blog
  • 1,5 oz (45 ml) Cointreau
  • 1 oz (30 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Blueberry juice
  • Villivesi Mustikka & Kuusenkerkkä mehukivennäisvesi
  • 1 bar spoon Grenadine 

Add the Cointreau, lime juice and blueberry juice into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice and top it up with Villivesi Mustikka & kuusenkerkkä mehukivennäisvesi. Give it a wee stir, pour in the grenadine and let it sink to the bottom. Garnish with a bouquet of mint and blueberries.

Ginger Villins

Ginger Villins | Cocktails Adagio X VilliVesi | The Adagio Blog
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) ginger syrup
  • 4 oz (12 cl) Villi Vichy Sitruuna & Katajanmarja

Add all ingredients into a Collins glass filled with ice, mix well and garnish with lemon peel.

Villi Winter Apple long drink

  • 1 bar spoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 oz Apple juice
  • 1 oz ginger syrup
  • 1 oz Irish Whisky
  • Villi Omena Inkivääri mehukivennäisvesi 

Fine strain into a glass filled with ice, Top up with Villi Omena Inkivääri mehukivennäisvesi and mix. Garnish with Apple slices and a cinnamon stick.
