During the preparations for our wedding, Klapsu and I started to think about our honeymoon. I already warn you: don’t expect the normal kind of honeymoon, portraying a Caribbean sea, beaches with white sand and a tropical weather.Of course, there is nothing bad in having this kind of trip. It’s just that we are not like that, Klaus and I. We don’t want to do stuff just because everyone does it. We want to see things differently, with another light, another perspective. That’s why, forgetting the cosiness that an hammock between palms could give, we decided to travel through Europe by train with Interrail! To be honest, our aim was to go to Italy (my native country), in a way or another. We planned the things so that we could have a second wedding down there, or a wedding party, so that also italian friends could partake to our joy. Since the number of friends we wanted to invite up here was high, we thought that it might be more practical if the mountain would go to Muhammad. We bought two global passes in which you can travel 10 days within 22. When you travel, you can use trains and any other transport system affiliate with Interrail (for example, we did take bus and ferry too). You can also choose how to organize those 10 travel days: for example, you don’t necessarily have to use them in a row, but you can have breaks in between. This kind of pass cannot be used in the country where you reside, in our case Finland. After a lot of thinking, this is the route we decided to follow:
And, actually, we did have the possibility to enjoy an hammock between palms!
