Finnish land is truly generous if you take into consideration the climate conditions that has to face.
Even thought Finland is called the land of a thousands lakes, its territory consists of forests for two thirds (74,2%). Because of this, it is the “greenest” country in Europe.
In autumn time, Finnish forests become like mines of precious stones. In a sunny day, walking in the forest, if you’ll knee down you can see them shine, this precious gems. They can be red, yellow, orange, blue and black.
We can learn a lot about what berries grow in Finland, for some there is not even an Italian translation! Beside the classic berries that everyone know, such as raspberry and blackberry, there exists many other with incredible properties, rich of vitamins and flavors!
We’ll consider them one at a time, analyzing their characteristics and how Finns use them.
